FAA Medical
Certification | AIDS / HIV
HIV seropositive
pilots (without AIDS manifestations) using FDA / FAA approved antiviral medication
may obtain FAA medical certification. The FAA requires an
evaluation which must be accomplished in compliance
with specific FAA requirements.
Aviation Medical Examiners (AME's) cannot approve
certification and must defer your application to Oklahoma City FAA. The deferral
process usually takes 4-6 months without our
service.
