Remarks

Greetings, I am researching the answer to one of my patient’s questions regarding his FAA medical certificate and I was wondering anyone could help us out. The patient was diagnosed with a pseudo pituitary gland tumor and has successfully had it removed. The patient has gone three months post operative without presenting any side effects or adverse reactions. He is now seeking to renew his FAA first class medical certificate and is concerned about how to correctly answer the questions regarding prior medical visits and procedures. Since he now appears to be aero medically qualified I would lie to advise him to answer using this language; “Visited (doctors name and contact info) on (date), Diagnosed with a pseudo pituitary gland tumor. Removal procedure was successfully completed on (date). Attached physicians report indicates no adverse effects or side effects. As I see it if the AME finds him medically qualified he could return to flying immediately. Opinions and comments will be much appreciated. Best Regards, Dr. John Larsen
